SECT Center Services

SECT Center Services Include:

  • Training on tools and competencies for individuals who provide employment services
  • Facilitation of trainings by nationally and locally recognized speakers
  • Strengthening partnerships between employment service providers and Vocational Rehabilitation Services
  • Supplying materials, including Moving Ahead Without Fear, a Social Security Work Incentives manual, and SE Works!, a quarterly newsletter
  • Collaboration with other organizations to increase cost-effectiveness and quality of supported employment outcomes
  • Partnership with key stakeholders (e.g. federal, state, and local agencies, advocates, service providers) to overcome barriers or disincentives to employment for persons with serious mental illness.
  • Presentations at international, national, state, and local conferences

The SECT Center also provides consultation and training services to supported employment programs at community mental health centers on:

  • Best practice recommendations for supported employment services
  • Data collection and program evaluation
  • Development and utilization of outcome management systems
  • Staff development
  • Overall program enhancement
  • CARF (The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission) accreditation standards for employment and community services
  • Joint Commission Employment Services and Vocational Rehabilitation Accreditation Standards
  • Strategic planning for supported employment services
  • Support of regional networks for employment services at community mental health centers
